Working With Parental Conflict

About this Event

An interactive online workshop enabling professionals to deal with issues relating to parental conflict and how to improve parental communication.

About this event:

In many parts of our practice we may encounter work with conflict. This may be conflict between couples, colleagues or parents and children. This work is often emotionally charged and can leave us at a loss for what to do in the moment or how to proceed with the work. The Parenting Apart Programme’s Working with Parental Conflict, 1.5 hour CPD Workshop, is a thorough look at key components of conflict and the ways we may seek to work with it in practice. The workshop draws on different theories of human life in order to position conflict as something naturally occurring within relationships between people, before providing concepts and practical guidance for working with conflictual relationships.

The Workshop will be facilitated by Clinical Psychologist, Systemic Psychotherapist and Director of Kaleidoscope Psychology and Psychotherapy Ltd, Dr Paul Walton. He has worked across public and private sector organisations for over 12 years providing therapeutic support to adults, children, couples and families. He also lectures on the University of Hull, Clinical Psychology Programme and is the Training Lead for the Parenting Apart Programme.

The Parenting Apart Programme, offers a unique methodological approach in supporting parents to achieve a positive working relationship, after a decision has been made to separate or divorce.

This will include CPD certificate for attendance accredited by One Awards.
