Feel Good Friday: Mackrell Solicitors

There have been lots of positive things happening across the sector this week, so we wanted to share these good vibes with you as part of our ‘Feel Good Friday’ news items.

Here is a little snap shot of what’s been going on.

Experienced international family lawyer shortlisted for global expertise at Family Law Awards for second year running

The Head of Mackrell.Solicitors’ Family and Relationship Team, Alison Green, has been shortlisted once again for International Family Lawyer of the Year at the prestigious Family Law Awards.

Selected from a wide pool of some of the UK’s top lawyers, Alison was named as a finalist at this year’s event that celebrates the best and the brightest individuals and law firms within the profession.

This is the second year in a row that Alison has been selected for this award, having narrowly missed out in 2019.

With more than 25 years’ experience and specialist knowledge across multiple global jurisdictions, Alison regularly acts for high-profile clients in Europe and the Middle East.

Her compassionate, tenacious approach, has helped her to develop a reputation for resolving matters effectively – winning her the admiration of her clients and peers.

In shortlisting Alison for the category, the judges recognised Alison and Mackrell.Solicitors close connection to Mackrell International, a leading global legal network set up by the firm, which has more than 4,500 lawyers around the world in 60 different countries.

Alison said:

“To be shortlisted even once is a real achievement but to be named twice in as many years is a true honour and a reflection not only of my work but the support our team and international legal practice as a whole offer.

“We have taken a number of important steps in the last 12 months, which has seen our team grow and innovate, allowing us to assist a growing number of clients around the world.”

Unlike previous years, the 2020 Family Law Awards is being held online due to COVID-19, meaning Alison will find out whether she has taken home the title later this year at a digital event on 25 November.
