Law Society Awards now open!

The Law Society Awards 2021 are now open for entries with 20 categories to choose from, covering individual, team and firm awards.

“After an extraordinary year, it has never been more important to celebrate the outstanding work of our profession,”

said Law Society of England and Wales president I. Stephanie Boyce.

“Solicitors play a vital role in times of crisis as people turn to trusted professionals, to explain the law, advise them on their rights and their obligations, and give them some sense of surety.

“They have been there every step of the way helping people, businesses and government to get back on their feet and will continue to deliver these vital services after lockdown lifts.

“I encourage entries to our awards so that solicitors can get the recognition their outstanding work deserves.”

New categories introduced this year are designed to showcase best practice in four areas: practice promotion, the rule of law, ethical standards, and practice management.

“Over the past few years, there have been increasing attacks on lawyers and the integrity of our profession,”

added I. Stephanie Boyce.

“We often hear that the rule of law is a fundamental British value – well it is lawyers that ensure this is so, and they must be able to do their job without fear of intimidation.

“We recognise this in our new award which celebrates those who have gone above and beyond during the most challenging of times, demonstrating exceptional efforts to uphold the rule of law.”
